Responsiveness of Physicians and its Constituents

The study explored the responsiveness of physicians and grouped the components of responsiveness under five domains: friendliness, respecting, informing and guiding, gaining trust, and optimizing benefits, using qualitative methods from a District in the south-west part of Bangladesh.

Few themes cut across the five domains of responsiveness of physicians; these are–the gaps between physicians’ and patients’ perceptions and practices regarding responsiveness, the importance of context in understanding responsiveness, and few aspects of responsiveness where physicians lived up to the expectations of service seekers.

Regular Diagnosis For Heart Disease Is Not Done By Women

A recent study has specified that women who start menstruating at the age of 11 or earlier, or enter menopause before 47 have a higher risk of heart disease and stroke. Some other factors that were associated with elevated odds of heart problems in later years were miscarriage, stillbirth, undergoing a hysterectomy, and bearing children at a young age. Study suggested that women who had premature reproductive cycles or a history of adverse events should be screened for heart problems.
