Health Burden of COPD in Nepal

Understanding the national prevalence, morbidity, and mortality associated with major NCDs with higher public health and socioeconomic impact, like COPD, is essential for evidence-informed policy planning and program implementation. The study aims to present the health burden of COPD in Nepal using the GBD 2016 dataset.

Macrophages Contribute To A Type Of Heart Failure

In this study, researchers invented for the first time, that the immune cells called macrophages contribute to a type of heart failure for which there currently is no effective treatment. They defines finding how macrophage activity leads to the development of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) in mouse models of the condition, which accounts for around half of all human heart failure cases. The study published in the Journal of Experimental Medicine.

Ras Protein’s Interact with Cell Membrane Surfaces

According to the study, researchers estimated exactly that Ras proteins interact with cell membrane surfaces. Protein systems make up the complex signaling pathways that control whether a cell divide or, in some cases, metastasizes. Ras proteins have long been the focus of cancer research because of their role as 'on/off switch' signaling pathways that control cell division and failure to die like healthy cells do.
