Salmonella Outbreak Spreads To 35 States

A study estimates that around 87 people in 35 states have become sick with salmonellosis after consuming kratom, said federal officials, who advised individuals to stop using kratom products.  By consuming kratom, it showed 44 deaths and that from a scientific standpoint; the substance is an opioid, not a harmless plant.

New Treatment Could Keep Melanoma at Bay

Even though the combination of targeted therapies improves patient outcomes in advanced skin melanoma, some of the cancer cells may develop drug resistance. While a new study, published in Cancer Discovery, showed that changing the schedules of drug administration can improve outcomes leading to more complete responses in mouse models of the disease.
