Novel Grape-derived Compounds may Help Treat Depression

In a study to be published in Nature Communications, scientists describe an extensive analysis of novel grape-derived compounds, dihydrocaffeic acid (DHCA) and malvidin-3'-O-glucoside (Mal-gluc), which might be developed as therapeutic agents for the treatment of depression. The study results indicate that these natural compounds may attenuate depression by targeting newly discovered underlying mechanisms of the disease.

In Comparison Between Intravenous Anesthesia with Desflurane Anesthesia

In this comparative study, researchers showed about healthcare systems in current days are facing significant problems of increasing expenditures. Because of the need to increase efficiency with cost containment, the stress on optimizing operation room (OR) efficiency increased. The time required between the end of surgery till exhumation is of special interest to anesthesiologists because it is affected by anesthesia agents administrated.
