In 2015, newborns diagnosed with NAS remained in the hospital 12 days on average, compared to three days for newborns not born exposed.

A study declines that Sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) is related with an increased incidence of stroke. Researchers recommend that SSNHL group included 154 patients diagnosed with the disorder from January 2003 through December 2005. A total of 616 controls (4:1) were involved in a matching cohort. A new study reported that all men had a prostate-specific antigen (PSA), digital rectal exam, and prostate ultrasound performed at the beginning of their initiation and periodically during follow-up.
